General
What file formats can I upload?
MP4, MOV, WebM, and most common containers.
How long does processing take?
Most videos finish in under few minutes.
Can I edit a clip after it’s generated?
Yes. Trim the in/out points, fix any caption wording, restyle captions, and re-export.
What do the exported clips look like?
Full-HD exports with no watermark. You can reframe to vertical (9:16) or keep it wide, and pick from several caption presets.
How accurate are the captions?
Captions are auto-generated word-by-word and are highly accurate, but you can fix any wording in the editor before you export.
How many clips do I get from one video?
You can choose between 1 and 4 clips.
How is Videotrim different from other tools?
Our strength is simplicity: no bloat, easy to use, no subscription. Simple!
Does the app work on mobile?
Mobile support is currently experimental.

Payments
How does pricing work?
Videotrim is pay-as-you-go with credits. A video costs 2 credits; packs start at €5 for 10 credits. There’s no subscription — you only pay when you top up.
Is there anything to cancel?
No — because there’s no subscription, there’s nothing to cancel. You only ever pay when you buy a credit pack.
Do credits expire?
Never. Credits stay in your account until you spend them.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets 2 free credits — enough for a full video — so you can try it before buying a pack.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Does re-analysis consume credits?
No. Only fresh uploads consume credits — you can re-analyze and edit your videos as much as you like.
Is there a project limit?
No! You can have unlimited projects.
Privacy and security
Is my content private?
Your uploads and clips are private to your account. Only you can access them, and you can delete them at any time.
Do you use my videos to train AI models?
No. We never use your uploads or clips to train models — they’re only used to generate your own clips.
How is my data stored?
Uploads and clips are stored in a storage bucket located in the EU.
How long do you keep my files?
Your files stay available in your account until you remove them. Delete an upload or clip and it’s gone from our storage.
Are you GDPR-compliant?
Yes. We’re built to be GDPR-compliant, and you can request an export or deletion of your data at any time.

We’re a group of Finnish builders making apps. We created Videotrim for ourselves, then decided to release it to the public.
